Jamie and Luke Wedding
Much of Mexican culture revolves around its love for color. Homes are painted cheerfully bright, food is full of varying hues and even the personalities are colorful!!
Located east of Ensenada, Valle de Guadalupe is a valley rich with cultivated grape vines, pure wine making, delicious food and incredible architecture.
Our wedding celebration in Mexico was no different: our beautiful and happy bride embraced the color of the surrounding nature, architecture, and food to incorporate Color Boom! into her wedding.
Encuentro was our setting. Its modern buildings nestled in the hills outlying the valley speak volumes of its simplicity and sophistication. Encuentro is truly the essence of the new revitalization of Mexico.
Paula Luna of Luna Photo always does an amazing job capturing the essence of an event. Her approach is always elegant, thoughtful and timeless. Her photos of the Encuentro wedding are attached in the gallery below.
Chef Flor Franco of Indulge Catering conjured up an extraordinary menu that spoke to its indigenous land and culture. Mountains of beautifully roasted meat and veggies were artfully displayed with rustic platters, colorful clay pottery and the modern lines of metal stands.
Designer extraordinaire, Tam Ashworth of Isari Flower Studio, dreamt up a ceremony backdrop that wowed the spirit without distracting guest’s eyes from the view. She carefully placed elements of interest to the guest tables alongside an abundant amount of ombré rainbow hued flowers. She married a simple (but yet, not so simple) wool black and white table runner with sleek lucite chairs to compliment the modern architecture of Encuentro. Finally, she commissioned the uncommon talent of Merijam Roelofs of Folk Project to incorporate indigenous Guatemalan tapestries as napkins. The full effect is a perfect balance of modern and old; the look was truly exceptional.
Music and drinks greeted our guests upon arrival. A musical performance by Alex Aceretto was eclectic and soulful and continued through the ceremony, cocktail and dinner hours. The freshly squeezed fruity yet savory drinks were a perfect balance of sweet and spicy and were offered along with an assortment of Mexican beer and, of course, Valle de Guadalupe wine!!
After dinner, our bride and groom were joined on the dance floor with the DJ spinning tunes until the wee hours of the morning. Vario Productions, whom also provided the never forgotten disco ball and club lighting, mixed Mexican rock and American top 40 hits.
Chef Flor picked up the pace of dancing with an after dinner feasting table filled with Mexican sweets, breads and custards.
Every element of the day and evening were designed to mirror the color palette of nature found in this beautiful part of Mexico. Our bride and groom celebrated love with a boom of color and prosperity!

Palm Springs in Color
Let’s just start with the napkins! I have received an impressive number of Instagram likes for this wedding’s place setting photo. The napkins are a silk organza fabric of Missoni & Pucci inspired prints and were SERIOUSLY amazing.
Also, quite seriously, I want to talk about the designer that brought me on-board for this truly spectacular wedding in Palm Springs. Vanessa, of Alchemy Fine Events and Alchemy Fine Home, is a genius designer who used a TON of color for our client’s wedding ceremony and reception. In other words, she is the reason for the napkins! Vanessa started with the idea of color, whimsy, and sophistication. She designed the entire look of the wedding and recruited the help of Luna Solamar of Arrangements Design for the centerpieces and all the personal flowers. La Tavola was hired for their fine linens and Signature Party Rentals was used for the furniture, bar, and ceremony huppah.
Our setting was the beautiful Parker Palm Springs hotel. With so many scenic spots available on the property we were able to utilize four different spaces for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and finally, dancing. The movement from one location to the next kept the crowd excited and intrigued while waiting to see what part of the wedding event was coming up next.
Our photographer, Scott Clark captured the beauty of the day effortlessly, calmly and of course, graciously. He is wonderful wedding photographer.
This wedding was a delight for the newly married couple and their guests. The tables, flowers and details of the each setting found throughout the night were filled with color, a wonderful inspiration for those looking to plan their Color Boom! event.
